We're going pink in October in support of Babes4Breasts

We've switched our logo and masthead on OttawaStart to pink this month to raise awareness for Babes4Breasts and their efforts to raise funds for the prevention and treatment of breast cancer.  There are several events on the go this month, including:

• On Saturday, October 20 at 8:00pm, Babes4Breasts hold their annual benefit concert at Saint Brigid's Centre for the Arts (310 Patrick Street).  The concert features Suzie Vinnick, Ann Vriend, Amanda Rheaume, Robyn Dell’Unto and Ana Miura in a song circle. It's an authentic, intimate and fun night of music benefitting the ORCF Survivorship Centre’s Music Therapy program. More info / Tickets on sale now
  
  
  
• The concert marks the release of the Babes4Breasts 2012 compilation album.  Sixteen recording artists have donated songs with proceeds from the album supporting various charities including the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society. The cd is on sale at retail locations around Ottawa, and also available via iTunes.  More info
  
  
  
• Babes4Breasts and St. Laurent Shopping Centre have partnered to present Be A Babe. The contest gives budding musicians age 12 and older a chance to audition and perform on stage at the concert on October 20.  More info / Check out the finalists
