Saturday and Sunday, September 1-2: Farmers’ Markets
Make the transition from summer to fall easier with a visit to a farmers’ market for fresh, local produce. Ottawa has well over a dozen markets, so check OttawaStart’s guide for locations and opening times; most are open either Saturday or Sunday. If that’s too much choice, then try the newest Ottawa Farmers’ Market, in Westboro at Byron Park, or better yet, borrow a RightBike and cycle to both the Parkdale and Westboro Markets—the user-friendly RightBikes have big baskets perfect for carrying food items.
