Friday, July 13: Hey Rosetta at Bluesfest
Hey Rosetta played last year at Bluesfest, but a lot of people left when the shows that night stopped due to Mother Nature crying up a storm. She had just been dumped by Father Time, so we'll give her a pass. So, if you left and missed their return after the rain, you can check them out again this year. Quite simply, they are one of the best live bands out there. Their music is so dynamic and perfect for a live environment.

Sunday, July 15: Hintonburg 5k

This fundraiser for the Hintonburg Community Association is billed as Ottawa's funkiest 5k through one of the coolest neighbourhoods. I wholeheartedly agree. In fact, you'll be able to find me manning the Kids' 1k turnaround high-fiving all the little runners.
