Majic is slowly dying and doesn't know what to do wow it keeps dropping in every single survey. They are desperate and it sure sounds like it when you listen. There programing is all over the map. What a disaster how long before they simply axe the whole station.

CFRA rating have plunged by 25% since they fired Michael Harris in February. He was the only host that provided a counter balance to the right wing view of Lowell Green, Nick Vandergragt and Rob Snow. The station claimed it was a business decision, not a political one. If so, pretty bad business decision I'd say.

I think the firing of Mr Harris was a canary in the coal mine. Had they kept him, things would have been far worse. His audience was small and his topics boring. Not EVERYTHING is the fault of the US or Israel. Now that he is gone, the numbers should rebound nicely.

  5. 100.3 really needs a new format. Something, anything else. Rhythmic/Dance, Classic Hits, Talk Radio, R&B/Hip Hop? Get some market researchers out there and find out what format is in demand for Ottawa listeners, and do that.

I guess it's no surprise that Top40 Hot89.9 is doing well.

we know all about radio ratings in Ottawa especially in the Rock genre!!! we have a facebook page that is fighting for change in the Rock genre check us out we are already over 1650 people and should reach over 2500 by November or sooner. https://www.facebook.com/BETTERROCKSTATIONOTTAWA right now every Rock station has fallen in the ratings in Ottawa none more then the Bear which is currently 14th place(includes the French Rock station) Live 88.5 has fallen the least because they keep up with their alternative Rock genre. the Bear however has chosen to be like a stubborn mule and play a mostly repeated set list of the same music, about 85% of the music is over 5 years old. I am willing to bet the Bear will fall to 15th place by 2013 Novembers semi anual ratings.

if you car about Rock and want to hear more of todays Rock and want to ssee stations like the Bear climb back up the ratings then please help us with our fight by join us on https://www.facebook.com/BETTERROCKSTATIONOTTAWA

WE ARE MISSING OUT ON 100's OF NEW MUSIC!!!!
