Weekly Volunteer Round-Up: Dancing with the Stars, Happy Hour Assistant, Volunteer Auctioneer, more

Here are some recent volunteer opportunities from Volunteer Ottawa:

Dancing with the Stars for Easter Seals Kids is a dance competition featuring local celebrities competing to be the STARS of the evening! True to the element of competition, celebrity judges along with our guests will assist in determining which dance team will be the STARS of the event. Dancing with the Stars for Easter Seals Kids begins with a cocktail hour and hors d'oeuvres. Opportunities include: Setup & Takedown, Greeting & Ticket Taking, Raffle & Auction functions, Voter Card Sales-Distrubution-Collection, etc

Happy Hour Assistant @ Extendicare-Medex
Happy Hour is one of our residents' favourite programs. Because it is so popular we need someone to help us porter residents to and from the program. Help is also needed in serving refreshments at the program. Happy Hour takes place every Friday at 2:30 p.m.
Volunteer Auctioneer
Volunteer Auctioneer wanted to host and run the evening's auction at our annual Breast Cancer Action Gala and Auction. This year's event takes place on Friday, November 18, 2011 at the Sala San Marco (215 Preston St). All interested parties are to apply to Karen Graszat, Executive Director, executivedirector@bcaott.ca
