Seeking donations to help woman struck by tree today on Parkdale

You might have heard about the 26-year-old Ottawa woman who was struck by a tree today.  Just got this note from my friend Karla Briones, who's her boss at Global Pet Foods in Hintonburg and Kanata.
My name is Karla Briones and I am Lauren's boss. She was hit by a falling tree today at Parkdale on her way to work. She is only 26 and has both legs broken due to the incident.

I am desperate to help her.

Our stores have raised thousands of dollars for dogs in need, but this time is one of my own that need us. I am reaching out to the community to help us raise funds for her as she will be in recovery for a long time.

If anyone cares to help, both of my stores will take cash donations. Every penny will help her. People can go to either Global Pet Foods store located at: 1200 Wellington Street West (in Hintonburg) or 700 Eagleson Road (in Kanata).

I am out of town, but doing everything possible to get to Ottawa to see her. If you have any questions, pls call my cell at 613.883.6527.

Thank you for your time.

Karla Briones
