I've heard of microclimates, but how about microclimatologists? Case in point: Rob Hounsell, who runs a web site called "Kanata Weather Observations".
"I'm a 40-something electronics engineer who works on military aviation simulation by day, and tinkers with gadgets by night (when I find the time). I've been interested in weather since I was 10 years old. Creating this weather observation system is one of my hobbies," says Rob.
The observations are updated every half hour using equipment installed in and around his house in suburban Kanata. You'll find the basic stuff like the current temperature in Kanata, plus advance reports like barometric pressure, humidity, lightning activity, temperature records and more.
